Fluorescent Mineral Database

A new secret project! Trying to create a nice Fluorescent Mineral Database (FMDB), which would be searchable by mineral, locality, and luminescence properties. Also making it easy for people to contribute with their own specimens!

Willemite and Calcite - Nelly James Mine, Miller Canyon, Arizona

Contributed by: Mark Cole
Date: Apr 5th, 2026
Locality: Nelly James Mine, Miller Canyon, Miller Peak, Cochise County, Arizona, USA (See on Mindat)
Size: 5 x 3.5 x 5 inches
Weight: 2.5 lb

Description:
There are several very nice multi-color specimens from the Miller Canyon area here on Nature's Rainbows, but none of plain-Jane, vanilla willemite and calcite. So, since I am taking pictures, and this is a pretty nice one, I figured I would post it. Nothing special - but very representative of the material from this area - quite different from the classic Franklin red/green.
