Tugtupite and Sodalite, on Chkalovite – Taseq Slope, Greenland

Description:
Pieces like this are pretty rare from the Ilimaussaq Complex in Greenland. The matrix appears to be chkalovite (green fluorescence at the bottom, muted overall response under MW). Tugtupite occurs as veining in the chkalovite and areas of tenebrescent sodalite are dotted around the face (very unusual for this habit of sodalite intermixed with tugtupite on matrix like this). The first picture shows the response under "fullwave" (a mix of SW, MW, and LW) - this brings out the chkalovite and sodalite colors. Second picture is SW only, and the third picture is MW. Also very interesting is that the tugtupite is not fluorescent at all under either MW or LW.
