Fluorescent Mineral Database

A new secret project! Trying to create a nice Fluorescent Mineral Database (FMDB), which would be searchable by mineral, locality, and luminescence properties. Also making it easy for people to contribute with their own specimens!

Wavelite from Mt Ida, Arkansas

Contributed by: FMS Admin
Date: Mar 14th, 2026
Locality: Mount Ida, Montgomery County, Arkansas, USA (See on Mindat)

Description:
Paul Garland was a prolific collector and photographer of fluorescent minerals. Sadly, he passed a while ago. I obtained permission from his sister to post a few of his best specimens and pics. Not many specimens of wavelite are fluorescent, but I\'ve seen several from Mt Ida.
