Description:
Not many collectors seek out chalcedony. Similarly, when they hear caliche [a zone of calcium carbonate or other carbonates in soils of semiarid regions], noses typically turn up. Yet, this amalgamation of both from the Anderson Mine, Yavapai County, Arizona provides evidence that when they strut their stuff, both are collection worthy.

Fluorescent pictures were taken at ISO-100, f/11 for 1.6 seconds.
