Date: May 26th, 2026
Locality: Sterling Mine, Sterling Hill, Ogdensburg, Sussex County, New Jersey, USA (See on Mindat)
Weight: 10 lb

Description:
Salmon calcite matches its namesake—raw salmon. This piece is composed of beautiful crystals of the pink colored calcite and weighs around 10 pounds. Collected from the Sterling Hill Mine in Ogdensburg, New Jersey. Surprisingly, it seems to be in much larger boulder than its Franklin counterpart and the good news is that there is still tons to collect.
