Contributed by: FMS Admin
Date: May 24th, 2026
Locality: Silver Peak Mining District, Esmeralda County, Nevada, USA (See on Mindat)
Size: 3 inches

Description:
Coyote Hole is relatively unknown to the fluorescent rock world but clearly has some interesting material. Here is a piece that appears to have calcite, hyalite, and an unknown blue material. Some of the calcite, may actually be barytocalcite, but more study and collection are needed. Coyote Hole is in the Silver Peak District, Esmeralda County, Nevada, a relatively difficult place to get to several hours north of Las Vegas.
