Contributed by: FMS Admin
minID: 231-1UA
Date: May 17th, 2026
Locality: La Haute-Gaspésie RCM, Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Québec, Canada (See on Mindat)
Size: 6.2 x 4.9 x 9.9 cm

Description:
In daylight, calcite specimens from this rarely heard-of (and now depleted) locale are not quite spectacular; just white rhombohedral crystals with dull lustre. But under UV, especially midwave, they're much less boring!
