Wollastonite - Kockgruvan Mine, Skinnskatteberg, Sweden
Contributed by: FMS Admin
Date: May 9th, 2026
Locality: Kockgruvan, Skinnskatteberg, Västmanland County, Sweden (See on Mindat)
Description:
Probably the best locale name in all of rock collecting. Here is a wollastonite that glows mustard in shortwave, dark mustard in midwave, and not really all in longwave. However, there are some interesting greens and blues in the rock that do seem to glow in all wavelengths. Very phosphorescent, but alas, no photo.
