Description:
Catapleiite is not a well-known mineral, nor is it very common in fluorescent collections. Unfortunately, that does not mean it is particularly valuable. This piece is a surprisingly nice example of the material, surprisingly only because it was covered with gunk when purchased. Anyway, it cleaned up quite nicely. The bright green is the catapleiite and the dull red is most likely feldspar.
