Fluorescent Mineral Database

A new secret project! Trying to create a nice Fluorescent Mineral Database (FMDB), which would be searchable by mineral, locality, and luminescence properties. Also making it easy for people to contribute with their own specimens!

Fluorite and Calcite - Pure Potential Mine, Arizona

Contributed by: FMS Admin
Date: May 8th, 2026
Locality: North Geronimo Mine, Silver Mining District, La Paz County, Arizona, USA (See on Mindat)
Size: 5 x 5 inches

Description:
Calcite and fluorite combinations rarely get boring. This one has a very unique fluorite pattern within the primarily calcite matrix. It is from the Pure Potential Mine (North Geronimo Mine) in the Silver District, Trigo Mountains, La Paz Co., Arizona, USA. Interestingly, the calcite is not that strong in shortwave, and is much brighter under midwave.
