Fluorite with Phantoms - Cady Mountains, California

Contributed by: FMS Admin
Date: May 7th, 2026
Locality: Cady Mountains, San Bernardino County, California, USA (See on Mindat)
Size: 3.5 inches

Description:
Somewhere between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, lie the Cady Mountains. At least there is some treasure between the two cities, here's a nice piece of fluorite. Interestingly, the fluorite crystals have some brighter phantoms within, making for a nice display piece. A smaller piece, about three and a half inches across and shown in LW, SW and natural. The SW appears to have a little hyalite opal as well.
