Description:
This is an off-white to pinkish section of a spodumene crystal, with two intact crystal faces, from the B.B. No.7 Quarry, Norway, Oxford Co., Maine. This specimen shows a subdued, multi-wave fluorescent response. Under shortwave UV, dim red/oranges are seen, with areas of brighter lilac. The longwave UV response is somewhat brighter, showing areas of red and sky blue-colored fluorescence.

The B.B. No.7 Quarry was a gem pegmatite mine located in the southwestern part of Maine, within the Oxford pegmatite field.
