Fluorescent Mineral Database

A new secret project! Trying to create a nice Fluorescent Mineral Database (FMDB), which would be searchable by mineral, locality, and luminescence properties. Also making it easy for people to contribute with their own specimens!

Description:
Light grey/white eucryptite from the Midnight Owl Mine, Independence Gulch, Yavapai County, Arizona. This is a beautiful specimen under shortwave UV, showing a deep, saturated red fluorescent response. Under midwave UV a dimmer pink/red response is seen. This specimen shows little to no fluorescence under longwave UV.
