Description:
A wonderful spray of aragonite needles on red fluorescing calcite. This is not a stack or even a digital image... It\'s the first slide that I made of a fluorescent mineral way back in 1992, with my old Nikon FG-20. Fuji film, 100 ASA, slide scanned with a Canon Pre-press semi-professional scanner. Not bad for a very first try, I dare to say. The blue is merely reflection due to bad filters of my homemade SW-lamp. The specimen belongs to the collection of Albert Vercammen of the MKA. He found this piece in the Boverie quarry, Jemelle, Rochefort, Namur Province, Belgium.
