Description:
Jumillite is not a recognized mineral species. It\'s a post-volcanic mixture of different silicates, such as analcime, leucite and others. It\'s the white fluorescence of this material that enhances the orange-pink fluorescence of the apatite crystal. The fluorescence is caused by different rare earth elements.
Summary of luminescence responses:
Fluorapatite
- Fluorescence under Shortwave (254nm Lamp/Mercury) UV light: Pink
- Fluorescence under 405nm blue laser: Orange
