Fluorescent Mineral Database

A new secret project! Trying to create a nice Fluorescent Mineral Database (FMDB), which would be searchable by mineral, locality, and luminescence properties. Also making it easy for people to contribute with their own specimens!

Hydrozincite from the Zorzone Mine, Lombardy, Italy

Contributed by: Simone Conti

Size: 5 x 3 x 6 x cm
Weight: 112 g

Description:
Hydrozoncite on matrix. The hydrozincite fluoresces a nice blue under shortwave UV light, not much under longwave. The matrix has a weak brown/orange fluorescence under longwave, I don’t know what it is.
